Cold storage units Type 1 – basic mezzanine structure with large chamber (of > 250 MT) type with single temperature zone

  • @ Rs. 8,000/ MT for capacity up to 5000 MT.
  • @ Rs. 7,600/ MT for capacity between 5001 - 6500 MT.
  • @ Rs. 7,200/MT for capacity between 6501 - 8000 MT.
  • @ Rs.6,800/MT for capacity between 8001 - 10000 MT.

Cold storage units Type 2 – Pre Engineering Building (PEB) Type for multiple temperature and product use, more than 6 chambers of < 250 MT) and Basic material handling equipment.

  • @ Rs.10,000/ MT for capacity up to 5000 MT.
  • @ Rs.9,500/ MT for capacity between 5001 - 6500 MT.
  • @ Rs.9,000/MT for capacity between 6501 - 8000 MT.
  • @ Rs.8,500/MT for capacity between 8001 - 10000 MT.

Cold Storage Units Type 2 with add on technology for Controlled Atmosphere. CA stores are considered only in production areas for crops / commodities having NHB technical standards

Additional Rs. 10,000/MT for add on components of controlled atmosphere technology as per component wise cost.

Technology induction and modernization of cold chain

@ Rs. 5000/MT, for capacity between 5001 to 10000 MT.

Components of modernization includes

  • –  PLC equipment,
  • –  Packaging lines,
  • –  Dock levelers,
  • –  Advanced graders,
  • –  Alternate technologies,
  • –  Stacking system,
  • –  Modernization of insulation and refrigeration etc.

Quantum of Benefit :

  • General areas :
    1. 35% of the capital cost of project (For a storage capacity above 5000 MT up to 10000 MT)
    2. Max Cap – 2.38 Cr (Type 1)
    3. Max Cap – 2.97 Cr (Type 2)

  • NE, Hilly States & Scheduled Areas :
    1. 50% of the capital cost of project (For a storage capacity above 1000 MT up to 10000 MT)
    2. Max Cap – 3.40 Cr (Type 1)
    3. Max Cap – 4.25 Cr (Type 2)

  • Maximum permissible subsidy :
    1. Including all components (Controlled atmosphere Technology) the max subsidy is 7.50 crore. (Or)
    2. The Subsidy will be capped at the Term Loan amount (or)
    3. As per the Actual invoice amounts, whichever is lower

Who are Eligible under scheme?

Organizations/promoters, such as

  1. Association of Growers,
  2. Individuals,
  3. group of farmer growers/consumers,
  4. Farmers Producer Organizations (FPOs,)
  5. Partnership/Proprietary Firms,
  6. Self Help groups (SHGs),
  7. NGOs,
  8. Companies, Corporations, Cooperatives,
  9. Co-operative Marketing Federations,
  10. Agricultural Produce Marketing Committees,
  11. Marketing Boards/Committees,
  12. Municipal Corporations/ Committees,
  13. Agro Industries Corporations,
  14. SAU’s and other concerned R&D organizations are eligible to get assistance under all the NHB schemes.

When to apply

  • Direct IPA
    1. Before 15.03.2020 (including complete documentation as per the suggestion of Dept)
  • Pre-IPA
    1. Pre-IPA: Before 28/02/2020 (including complete documentation as per the suggestion of Dept)
    2. IPA: 6 Months from the date of Pre-IPA but not after 15/03/2020.
  • Final claim
    1. Lending Bank should claim subsidy within 3 months of project completion.

Validity:

  1. Pre – IPA: 6 Months
  2. IPA: (Till end of the Financial Year i.e., 31st march)

Physical Verification   :   Joint Inspection of Project with in 1 month of Subsidy claim.

For Projects having cost >10 lakh and upto Rs 20 lakh Rs.2,000/-
For Projects having cost >20 lakh and upto Rs 50 lakh Rs.5,000/-
For Projects having cost >50 lakh Rs.10,000/-
