Other categories include organic products across various agricultural segments, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, confectionery, cocoa products, honey, jaggery, sugar products, floriculture products, medicinal and aromatic plants, and a variety of other processed foods. APEDA's mandate covers essentially all agricultural and processed food products with export potential, except for plantation crops like tea, coffee, and spices which are handled by other specialized boards.

APEDA ensures quality control and standards compliance through its comprehensive traceability systems like GrapeNet, AnarNet, and MangoNet that track products from farm to fork, ensuring adherence to international standards. It implements and monitors various certification programs including organic certification, Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) systems for food safety. The authority conducts regular training programs and workshops for farmers, processors, and exporters on quality standards, provides laboratory testing support through recognized laboratories across India, and works closely with international regulatory bodies to stay updated on global standards and requirements. APEDA also conducts pre-shipment inspections and issues various certificates required for exports to different countries, ensuring that Indian agricultural exports meet the specific requirements of destination markets.

APEDA undertakes various market development initiatives including organizing and participating in international trade fairs, exhibitions, and buyer-seller meets to showcase Indian agricultural products to global buyers. It conducts market studies and research to identify new export opportunities and provides this intelligence to Indian exporters through publications, reports, and digital platforms. The authority facilitates international delegations to India and organizes outgoing trade delegations to explore new markets, while also creating brand promotion campaigns like "India Organic" and "Himalayan Farm Products" to establish distinct identities for Indian products in global markets. APEDA also develops e-commerce platforms and digital initiatives to connect Indian exporters directly with international buyers, reducing intermediaries and enhancing market access.

APEDA supports infrastructure development by establishing specialized facilities like pack houses, cold storage units, and ripening chambers in major agricultural production clusters to maintain product quality and extend shelf life. It develops Agri Export Zones (AEZs) that integrate production, processing, and export activities in specific geographical regions for particular products, while also setting up Common Processing Facilities that can be used by multiple exporters, reducing individual investment requirements. The authority supports the creation of specialized transportation infrastructure including reefer vans and containers for temperature-sensitive products, and establishes testing laboratories and certification facilities near production centers to facilitate quick quality assessment. APEDA also works with ports and airports to develop dedicated agricultural export terminals with specialized handling facilities for perishable products.

APEDA plays a crucial role in promoting organic exports by implementing the National Programme for Organic Production (NPOP), which provides internationally recognized certification standards for organic production in India. It accredits certification bodies that inspect and certify organic farms and processing units, ensuring compliance with global organic standards, while also maintaining the TraceNet system, a comprehensive traceability platform that tracks organic products from farm to export. The authority actively promotes Indian organic products at specialized international organic trade fairs and exhibitions, and facilitates equivalency arrangements with major markets like the EU, US, and Switzerland, ensuring that Indian organic certifications are recognized globally. APEDA also provides special incentives and support for organic producers and exporters, and conducts capacity building programs specifically focused on organic farming practices and certification requirements.
