"CBIC and DG system is implementing DIN on all documents issued by department for search authorisation, summons, arrest memo, inspection notices and letters issued in the course of any enquiry on or after 08.11.2019. Any communication without a valid DIN can be issued in exceptional situations and that too has to be regularised within 15 days. A big step in digitisation and transparency."
