Continuation of the central sector umbrella scheme Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana (PMKSY) with an allocation of Rs.4600 crore till 31 .03.2026 or till further review, whichever is earlier, subject to adherence of EFC recommendations and financial ceilings etc. The Scheme will be implemented by Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI)
PMKSY is a comprehensive package which will result in creation of modern infrastructure with efficient supply chain management from farm gate to retail outlet. It will not only provide a big boost to the growth of food processing sector in the country but also help in providing better prices to farmers, creating huge employment opportunities especially in the rural areas, reducing wastage of agricultural produce, increasing the processing level and enhancing the export of the processed foods.
Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) is implementing a Central Sector Scheme and issued New Operational Guidelines of the following:
- Creation / Expansion of Food Processing & Preservation Capacities (CEFPPC)
- Integrated Cold Chain & Value Addition Infrastructure (ICC)
- Creation of Infrastructure for Agro Processing Cluster (APC)
- Operation Greens – Long term Interventions
The proposals under the scheme are invited online through Expression of Interest (EOI) issued by Ministry from time to time.
